The USB solar battery chargers are recommended to charge 1800 to 2500mAh but you can charge 2700mAh batteries too, it just takes a while, probably longer than a single day of full sun.

*FAQ: This solar battery charger puts out a trickle charge and so it will not work on our TurboCharger LX series li-ion chargers because they require a fast charge DC current of about 1,000mA at 12 volts and the ICP solar charger delivers a maximum current of 145mA at about 15 volts.
The Battpack is designed to be used with the iSun solar battery charger (purchased separately) and can be attached to it in several ways. However, it can be used independently as a NiMH solar battery charger and portable power pack to charge other portable devices. If you use it with the iSun the battery charger is very slow and will share the max. 290 ma charge rate from the iSun solar charger with all batteries that you use in the charger, i.e.- the more you put into the BattPack the slower it will charge. Not recommended for solar battery charging more than 2-4 batteries.
Generally solar panels are quite slow compared with the typical "fast" chargers available today so be sure to get one that does not require too much power to charge the batteries - i.e.- getting a 1,000 ma charge rate battery charger will probably not work unless you get a 10 watt or greater solar panel.
The Maha MH-C401FS-DCW smart charger below is a good choice because of its various features. Mainly the ability to select between slow and fast charge and the car adapter that is included. Ideal for charging NiMH and NiCD rechargeable batteries with solar charger panels 5 watts and greater.
