Shipping, Handling and Insurance

DOMESTIC US SHIPPING - Easily Estimate Shipping Cost To get an estimate use the shopping cart and put your items into the cart, then enter your destination city and zip code and/or country to get a specific order amount with our charges for shipping included. You will also have an opportunity to change your shipping option at this time.

If your order form is complete and accurate, and received by our fulfillment center by 12:00PM Pacific time, orders for locations in the USA are normally shipped the same business day but this depends on our workload. Otherwise they will normally go out the next business day. Your shipping choices on domestic orders are UPS and USPS Priority Mail.

For USPS and UPS we now use their Real Time Rates so you are charged based on:
1. The distance from your location to our fulfillment center in Reno, Nevada.
2. The total weight of your order.
3. How quickly you need it delivered.

We recommend UPS so that we can effectively track and insure the delivery of your order.

All of our UPS tracked and insured shipments are guaranteed against loss or delay. These guarantees do not cover delays due to natural disasters or weather but in the event of a covered claim we will do one or more of the following: refund all or part of your shipping costs as appropriate, deal with the shipper and make the claim for the loss, expedite your replacement order as soon as possible.

Domestic Shipping

UPS Ground - We use UPS Real Time Rates and the cost varies based on the weight of your order.

UPS Second Day -We use UPS Real Time Rates and the cost varies based on the weight of your order.

UPS Next Day - We do not offer Overnight Delivery.

FREE SHIPPING is available inside the USA!! Buy $70.00 or more of our products, place your order online, and get FreeGroundShipping.

USPS Priority - This option is very cost effective for customers in Alaska and Hawaii and is available for shipments over one pound. It is not the recommended option for orders to be shipped to destinations inside the continental USA because we have such good rates with UPS that are trackable and insured. USPS Priority is an inexpensive option for small orders that do not need to be tracked or insured against loss. If you prefer to use USPS for your packages for APO, FPO, and PO boxes, or for deliveries to Alaska and Hawaii, just select USPS Priority. However, if you select this shipping option and the USPS loses your package we cannot replace it,so please do not select this option if you want our standard, fully trackable and fully insured shipping service. FYI - USPS sometimes cannot track their packages, and they can sometimes take 7-10 days or more depending on your location, so if you choose this shipment method you need to be patient.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING -

You now have two choices for International Shipping.

Our recommended choice is to use the services of Bongo International because of the services that they provide for our international customers. Bongo International provides our customers with their very own US address. Once you have a US address, you will be able to make purchases with us as well as other US based online retailers. Bongo receives your purchases and logs them into their online system which you can use to view your items and consolidate them with multiple orders.

International customers can save up to 82% off typical international shipping rates by following these four easy steps:

  • Enter the Bongo address as both your billing and shipping address.

We also still have USPS First class and Priority mail and that is good for some orders but we no longer use this service unless you have a very small order 25-50 dollars if the item(s) are very light. What countries do we ship to exactly? - Use the same shipping estimator and get a complete up to date list of the countries that we accept orders.

UPS Real Time Rates are used here too. USPS is a good option if you are already familiar with internatinal import duties to get your products imported. Out Canadian and Australian custmers tell us that thsi is the most cost effective shipping option for them. To get an estimate use the shopping cart and put your items into the cart, then enter your zip code and/or country for international deliveries to get a specific order estimate with shipping cost. International orders do not include import duties and tax that may be mandated by your country and collected by the carrier.

International orders accepted in the greenbatteries.com Yahoo store are normally shipped within two business days of receipt. This service usually delivers your package to you in just a few days, unless there are delays in customs in your area. (We are not responsible for customs delays, fees, or taxes if required by your country and we are required to send a commercial invoice that reflects the actual sales total of your order - without the shipping cost.)

Order Tracking

When you place your order on the greenbatteries.com store you get an automated order confirmation email to the email address that you entered while placing your order.

You will also get a shipping notification email with your tracking number when your order ships so that you can track it on its way to you. (Except USPS deliveries.)

We also have this new Order Status Portal page where you just enter your email address and order number to check the status of your orders, previous orders and you can also create new orders once we have that feature set up. Go to Order Status Portal page

There is nothing to be done if the USPS tracking does not show any helpful data except to wait. ;-(

It is very common for the USPS tracking info to not show anything useful. Their tracking is notoriously bad. It is not unusual for the tracking to show nothing till the package arrives and that can be a few days fpr domestic to a few weeks for international. Just check it every few days, if you like, or get back in touch with us after at least a week or two if you want us to begin the process of initiating a lost package claim. No need to worry though, you will not have to pay for the order if you do not get it. If it does get lost (this does not happen very often, but it does happen) we will replace it for you because all shipments include insurance.

Product Returns

Greenbatteries.com strives to provide excellent service, the highest quality products, and great value.

We guarantee all of our products for 1 year from the date of purchase against defects in material and craftsmanship. If the product is damaged or defective, or is not what you ordered, we will replace the product or you can return it and you will receive a full refund, including shipping.

If you suspect that something is not working as expected, send us an email and we will help you to determine if the item(s) that are not performing up to your expectations are the result of the battery or charger. (if that is helpful to you) Many times we can help you to determine that your issue is not what you thought it was and you will end up with a fully functional rechargeable battery system, even if/when you got some items elsewhere. Our goal is to get your rechargeable batteries to perform as well as they can in the hundreds of tools and toys that you can successfully use rechargeable batteries.

Items returned because you ordered the wrong item, or you no longer want or need the item, may incur a $4.95 restocking fee and the refund will not include the shipping costs that you paid to receive or return your order.

Items returned due to "defective product" warranty claims may be tested to verify that the item(s) are indeed defective.

To get a full refund on your order the item(s) returned must be received by us in its original packaging, unopened, so we can return it back to stock.

Please email us to automatically create a return request.

For return requests please include, at a minimum, your order number, and the reason for the return in the email that you send to us, include a copy of the customer service ticket in the package that you send to us so that we can process your return in a timely manner.

For damaged or defective products that you want replaced we may first, depending on the circumstances and at our sole discretion, send your replacement and a return label so you can return the product at no extra cost to you.

Products returned but not received are the sole responsibility of the consumer. Please use a trackable and insured shipping method for your own protection.

Credits and Coupons

Credits for returned items will be issued after our returns department receives and processes your return. Please allow 10-14 days from the date of your return for your credit to be issued. Credit may take up to two billing cycles to be reflected on your statement.

Coupons are for online orders only and are used for a variety of things such as Free Shipping, and various other promotions. Some have expiration dates, some don't. When you want to use a coupon in our store, just enter the coupon code exactly as it is written into the "Coupon or Promotional Code: field when you enter your credit card information during the checkout process.
