Q - What is this solar charger designed for exactly?

A - This charger is designed specifically to charge AA NiMH or NiCD batteries (or AAA with a AAA-AA battery adapter from our battery adapter page) This solar charger is not like most other Powerfilm solar chargers in that it does not have the connector to the many cable connectors.

Q - How long will it take to charge batteries?

A - About 4-8 hours of full sun depending on many variables like battery capacity, season (angle of the sun) and cloud cover, etc.

Q - How do I get teh best charge using this solar charger?

A - Make sure that you angle the solar panels so taht they are at a right angle to the sun. Don't just place it flat on the ground because that will generally not get the best solar energy to the panels. Try and tilt it toward the sun if you can.
